Mobility Scooters
Regaining your independence shouldn't mean compromising on comfort, quality or style. At Signature Mobility, our range of mobility scooters is chosen for exactly the reasons our customers ask for most: lightweight enough to lift into a car boot, simple enough to fold at the touch of a button, and reliable enough to trust on a daily trip to the shops, a family visit, or a walk in the park.
Every scooter we sell is available to try before you buy. Book a free home demonstration and one of our team will bring the scooter to you — right here in Peterborough or anywhere else we cover — so you can see how it handles on your own driveway, through your own front door, and around the places you actually go. There's no pressure and no obligation, just an honest look at whether it's the right fit.
Whether you need something ultra-portable for holidays and day trips, or a scooter built for longer, more comfortable journeys, our range covers the most common needs we hear from customers:
Lightweight and auto-folding — for scooters that need to fit in a car boot or a small hallway
Longer range — for people who want to cover more ground between charges
Class 2 (pavement) models — for getting around town, to the shops, or visiting friends and family
Not sure which one's right for you? Give us a call on 0330 043 4762 or book a home demonstration, and we'll help you choose based on how and where you'll actually use it — not just the spec sheet.
Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between the scooters you sell?
Our range covers everything from ultra-lightweight, auto-folding scooters that pack down small enough for a car boot, to sturdier models built for longer trips and extra comfort. The right one really depends on how far you're travelling, how often you'll fold it away, and whether you'll mainly use it around town or further afield. We're happy to talk you through it over the phone or in person.
Is there a weight limit on mobility scooters?
Yes — every scooter has a maximum user weight capacity, and it varies by model (our current range covers up to around 275lbs / 125kg). It's one of the first things we check with customers, since going over the limit affects both safety and battery range. Ask us for the figure for any model you're considering.
Can I use a mobility scooter indoors as well as outdoors?
Most of the lightweight, auto-folding scooters in our range are compact enough to manoeuvre indoors — through doorways, around furniture, and into lifts — as well as being suited to pavements and parks outdoors. If indoor use around your own home is a priority, mention it when you book your demonstration so we can check the turning circle and width against your space.
Do I need a licence, insurance, or registration to use one?
Class 2 mobility scooters (the pavement-only kind we sell) don't require a licence or registration, and you don't have to insure one by law — though we'd always recommend it for peace of mind. They're designed for use on pavements and in pedestrian areas, not on the road, except when crossing.
What if I need help paying for a scooter?
You can use payment options such as Klarna and Clearpay when checking out. However, we're happy to talk through payment options during a home demonstration or over the phone on 0330 043 4762 — just ask and we'll explain what's available.
How long does delivery take?
Our scooters are supplied through our manufacturer partner and typically arrive within 3–4 weeks of order, in line with the rest of our handcrafted range. We'll confirm an exact timeframe when you order.
